Laura Petillo
Laura Petillo - violinist, is a Graduate of Rutgers University and attended the Mason Gross School of Music. During her undergraduate, Laura held the position of Concert Master of the Sinfonia Nova Undergraduate orchestra during their 08-09 season. Laura is a busy session musician, heavily involved in diverse recording projects – including Disney sound tracks, Musical Theater Productions, Jazz, Classical and Baroque Violin.
At age sixteen, Laura was awarded the Lydia and Frank Bergen Foundation Scholarship Award and Bayview Foundation Scholarship Award. And she performed in a tour of Eastern Europe with the All American Youth in Concert. Laura studied Violin with prestigious teachers Randy Hollander, Patricia Hickson, Irina Kovalsky and Lenuta Cieulei.
On Baroque Violin and Viola Da Gamba, Laura was a repeat performer at the Boston Early Music Festival with the New York Continuo Collective, as well as the NYC Gotham Early Music Scene Concert Series. She currently is on faculty at the Monmouth Conservatory of Music as a violin teacher and performer under the Count Basie Center for the Arts program.
